Candidate: Deidra Pettis

I am currently serving as your Supervisor of Elections. I have worked in our Washington County governmental system for the past 16 years. This work has given me a strong understanding of our citizens’ needs and concerns.

I have been married to my husband Ronald for 35 years, and we have one son, Dalton, who is a lineman with West Florida Electric. Dalton and his wife, Raine Gilbert Pettis, have given us two of the greatest gifts ever: our grandchildren, Leighton, and Weston. They are our world!

I have lived in Washington County for 38 years, but both Ronald's family and my family have roots that run much deeper than those years. Both of our families were born and raised in this area.

I was appointed to this position of Supervisor of Elections in October by Governor Ron DeSantis. My primary focus will continue to be on the success of our local and national elections. I strive to ensure that you are informed, knowledgeable, and extremely confident in the security of our elections. It is important to me that each of you, as a voter, recognizes and feels their significance in every election cycle and that your vote is ESSENTIAL and COUNTS!

I pledge to uphold my commitment to be present in the day-to-day operations of this office. I want to keep your trust in me to safeguard the security and importance of each voting cycle and to serve YOU, the citizens of our county.
