With an unemployment rate of over 13% and nearly 40% higher than the national average, our County has felt the impact of the economic downturn. Together, we can make our County ideal for expansion of sustainable jobs which will stabalize our economy, revitalize our neighborhoods and I intend to lead us to economic prosperity.\" COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Robin is known for her strong leadership and community involvement. MY VISION FOR MANATEE COUNTY \"Like most Manatee County residents, I am concerned with many of the issues facing our community. We must keep taxes down, we must reduce gang violence and illegal activity and we must work together to create an atmosphere condusive to economic growth and development. By working together, we can make Manatee County an even better place to live, work and play. I would be honored to represent all the people in my District 4 and I pledge to work hard for all the people in Manatee County. EDUCATION Robin was a graduate from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1971 in Wilmington, Delaware and a graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University Of Delaware in 1975. OUR MANATEE I am inspired and amazed with the warmth, dedication and involvement of the people of Manatee County. My decision to run for office is based on my desire to continue to support our county and the people who live here. I pledge to each citizen of District 4 and the citizens of Manatee County to be accessible, to listen to their problems, to hear their concerns, and work as a united entity to come to realistic and fundamentally sound conclusions. Together, we can make this area ideal for businesses to want to relocate here and stay here and in turn, we will create sustainable jobs which will stabilize our economy and revitalize Manatee County.
