Married- Husband Mark Melton with 3 children, Jessica, Kaci, and Matthew. Graduated from Tampa Technical Institution in Tampa (Now Remington College) in 1996 in Tampa with an A.S. in Business Administration- my concentration was Accounting. Remington College (online) 2001-2002 concentration - Operations Management. Career Highlights: Established a streamlined electronic bid process using web based applications to save Estimating Department and Preconstruction over 40% from the previous year’s budget. Created and maintained subcontractor database. Designed and implemented biweekly business development reports tracking project status ranging from planning, negotiating and bid stages Served as an Assistant to the Construction Manager for a $65 million project in Sarasota, FL. Reviewed contracts and pay applications which saved the developer over 15% throughout the 3 year project life cycle. Product Support Analyst with Arthur Anderson Technology Solutions. Design Team member that created and designed a resource documentation database supporting over 100 sales and support team members. I have been employed in the construction industry since 2004.I have worked in the private sector for many years mainly in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. I am also an alumnus of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. My community involvement has been with the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, Bayshore Church of the Nazarene, Manatee High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team, and Manatee JROTC. Previous involvement with NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction). I have also been associated with the Gulfcoast Builders Exchange and both Sarasota and Manatee Chamber\'s of Commerce. I am also a certified Lifeguard and have used my CPR training to save a person\'s life. I have attended Town Hall meetings, County Government meetings. Our family enjoys many of the sports and recreation at G.T. Bray Park where my husband was a basketball coach for 3 years.
