Candidate: Porter Walker

Hello, I  am running for County Commissioner district 2. I am a lifelong Glades County resident that has been involved with the community for pretty much my entire life.  I  joined the Ortona Volunteer Fire Department when I was 18 and spent many hours training and helping the community through Fire service and Volunteering with the Ortona Cane Grinding festival which funded a lot of the Fire departments needs. I worked for the Hendry County Sheriff's office from 1993 to 1999 where I reached the rank of Corporal. I have been with my current employer for 24 years with Golf Agronomics and have reached the position of Chief Operations Officer.  With my Sheriff's office experience and my current job I have 25 years of experience in management.  With my law enforcement and Fire service experience I feel have obtained important experience on how to work with the County agencies and get the most out of the resources that the County has to offer. I humbly ask for your support on August 20th. It would be an honor to serve my County further as Commissioner.  Thank you and God bless.
