Candidate: Jerry Gator Sapp

To the Voters of Glades County,

My name is Jerry Sapp, known by my nickname of “Gator” to most folks. I am your current County Commissioner, representing District 3. I have lived and worked in Glades County all of my adult life. I have been married to Evelyn Dorman Sapp for 53 years, and we have two married daughters and four grandchildren. My Glades County history/involvement includes:

• Member of Palmdale Barn Ministries
• Tobacco Free Partnership
• Tourist Development Council
• Community Traffic Safety Team
• Fisheating Creek Settlement Advisory
• Glades Youth Livestock
• Glades County Cattleman’s Association
• Police Officer for Seminole Tribe of Florida (19 years)
• Deputy Sheriff, Ag. Investigator, and Child and Elder Abuse Investigator for Glades County Sheriff’s Office (8 years)
• Lykes Brothers Ranch employee (25 years)
• Veteran US Army National Guard
• Glades County School Board (1978-1982)
• Glades County Commissioner (1984-1988)

As your representative for Glades County, I will continue to make informed decisions by researching each side of any issue coming before the board. I remain available to all Glades County citizens for discussion of any matters that concern our county. Our county’s managed growth and development, tax base, tourism, services, and safety are my priorities.
