Marcus Isom is prepared and committed to serve as your next Duval County Court judge. The son of teenage parents, Marcus was raised by his grandmother who taught him the values of faith, hard work, service, and kindness. He earned a scholarship to Wofford College, where he attended as a first-generation college student and athlete.
After law school, Marcus joined the State Attorney’s Office in Duval County as a prosecutor on cases including traffic offenses, domestic abuse, weapons charges, and homicides. His diligence, commitment to community, and work ethic earned him promotions along the way. Marcus now serves in the Targeted Prosecution Division and works with the office’s Community Crimes Strategies Unit.
Marcus serves in numerous leadership positions in First Coast legal, civic, and church organizations. His passion for public service and justice has inspired him to seek election to the Duval County Court Group 9 seat that is being vacated this year.
