Candidate's Statement

I’m Ronald Mann. I’m proud to announce I’m a candidate for the County Commission District 1 seat in Baker County. For those who don’t know me or don’t know me well, I’m a Baker County and Sanderson native. I take great pride in our heritage and the bond we share in our rural communities. My family history in Baker County goes back several generations. Growing up in Sanderson, I attended Sanderson Elementary for six years. I graduated from Baker County High School in the class of 1975. My family, including my mother, are still residents of Sanderson.

Professionally, I’ve been in the steel strand and wire business for over forty-five years. I’ve managed multimillion-dollar budgets, staffing, and sales. I’ve successfully interacted with business professionals at all levels. My business background helps me understand complex issues and their impact on our lives.

My civic participation includes twenty years of serving on the Baker County Education Foundation. I’ve been appointed to serve on the Baker County Economic Development Commission by three Florida governors. I’ve served on the Development Commission for twenty years as an appointed volunteer. I’m a Born Again Christian and a man of Faith. I believe faith and family are the foundations that make our county a great place to live. I also believe our diversity makes us stronger.

I’m proud to be from Baker County. I humbly ask for your consideration and your vote in the August election. God Bless.
