Candidate: David Kesselring

I have lived in SW Florida since 1974 and in Charlotte County since 1992. I married my one and only wife 23 blessed years ago. I have owned and operated my successful mobile computer repair company since 1999 in Charlotte County.   While operating that business, I also started my growing residential window washing business in 2020 and continue to operate both businesses. I own my own home outright and have no long term debt.  I understand the difference between needs and wants.  I know how to live within a limited budget, a principle I believe should guide the fiscal policy of our government.

I hold a B.A. in business administration from the University of South Florida with studies in computer science.  My most valuable education came years later when I decided to do research into political candidates’ positions. I was drawn to the study of the Constitution and the proper structure and role of American government as originally intended by our founders.  We have all witnessed, both locally and nationally, a clear departure from the principals of individual liberty that have generated incredible prosperity and ensured our freedoms. 

The most important credential for a representative of the people at every level of government in America is an understanding of the proper role of limited government.  I will not vote to grow government or raise taxes under the guise of providing things that career politicians represent as free.  All these expanding government services ultimately come at a great price. 

As I have stated to the Charlotte County Commissioners for over ten years, my focus has been on cutting spending which will lead to lower taxes.  I have spoken about the protection of the rights of Charlotte County citizens by lessening restrictions and burdens on individuals and businesses.  As a private citizen I have been able to increase public awareness and discussion through the presentation of information regarding the activities of our government.  I have promoted less spending, less waste, less restrictions, and more individual liberty as I have spoken before the board. As an elected Commissioner, I look forward to making a positive difference for all citizens of Charlotte County.
