Candidate's Statement

Greetings,

Past experience as conservative Republican President of the Wisconsin State Senate, Republican State Senator, Republican State Assembly Member (State House), County Supervisor (Commissioner), and City Council Member empower me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to contribute to Sumter County as a County Commissioner.

Within each of the positions of my past experience, I served on numerous committees, boards, and commissions providing me with in-depth knowledge and experience of most, if not all, state and local government functions.

In addition to public service, personal volunteer activities at Church, Republican Clubs, School, Lioness/Lions, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and other activities allowed me close contact with constituents in the community.

Currently, Church membership, Republican Party Activities, volunteering with CERT of The Villages, and participating in Villages activities are a delight.

Having served thirty years in local government and state government, I am impressed with Sumter County operations.  Sumter County’s managed growth and safety provided by law enforcement continue to amaze me.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduating summa cum laude, major Political Science, minor Communications, with Pre-Law option. Detail Experience listed below.

Please contact me with questions, comments, concerns, and your advice for me.

Sincerely,

Mary Lazich
