CANDIDATE: JERRY VICENTI
Office: VCDD 7 Board of Supervisor, Seat 4 Non-Partisan

RE-ELECT JERRY VICENTI FOR BOARD SUPERVISOR FOR VILLAGES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT 7,  SEAT 4 (VCDD 7) REPRESENTING THE VILLAGES OF HEMINGWAY, DUVAL, HADLEY & BONITA

The residents of District 7 has given me the honor to be your  (VCDD) District 7 Supervisor.   And I have been the Project Wide Advisory Committee (PWAC) Representative for District 7 for the last 12 years. For the last 4 years I have been given the honor to be the Chairman of District 7. I put my heart & soul representing the voice of the District 7 residents of the Villages. 

I was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y.  I retired from The Port Authority of NY & NJ after 35 years in 2008.  I worked as a Buyer and Contract Administrator awarding and negotiating contracts.  I Supervised the Uniforms Services Department, the construction, operation and security of the Brooklyn Cruise Ship Terminal.  I served as a Trustee on the Port Authority Supervisor's Union Executive Board.  I worked in the World Trade Center Recovery Unit in 1993 & 9/11.  I received a Special Citation award for my work in the Port Authority World Trade 911 Recovery Unit.

My wife Annette and I moved to the Village of Hemingway in June 2008.  I served on The Property Owners Association (POA) as a board director and director of membership for 7 years. I was inducted into The Property Owners' Association (POA) Hall Of Fame in recognition of service to the Villages Community.  I was elected to the District 7 Supervisors Board in 2012.  For the last twelve years I have been devoted to speaking out for our residents and protecting and improving the voice of  approximately 10,000 District 7 residents.  I have been devoted to educating residents on issues that concern them,  Project Wide and an overview of our Villages Government.  I am always working hard to Protect and Improve The Health, Welfare & Quality of Life of the Residents of the Villages.

Objectives

  • To keep residents informed and educate them on all Villages District government issues &  protecting and improving the voice of all appropriately 10,000 residents.
  • Make a effort to have our Boards that are elected by the residents take full control of their maintenance and amenities budget presently controlled by the Commercial Property Owners/Developer's Board (SLCDD) who controls a percentage of our maintenance and all 72 million dollar amenities budget.
  • I will keep working hard to bring the democratic process to the voters in the Villages where the majority rules and not the minority. The same democratic process that our great country is based on.
  • Keep insuring your hard earned dollars are spent wisely and efficiently.
  • Continue to work hard to Protect and Improve The Health, Welfare & Quality of Life of the Residents of the Villages.

Achievements

  • Introduced a resolution to give full authority of our Amenities and Maintenance Fees to the Villages residents through the election process to residents that live in District 5 through 13 of the Villages to mirror the Amenity Authority Committee (AAC).
  • Have overseen a 2. 9 million dollar maintenance budget for District 7 resulting in  an assessment maintenance fee increase once in the last 10 years
  •  
  • Supported a warranty for more then one year on new and replacement construction/materials, example substructure pipes & construction materials, etc. which will lower the cost to the Resident.
  •  
  • Served on the District 7 Board for 12 years and Project Wide Advisory Committee (PWAC)  to insure your hard earned dollars are spent wisely and efficiently

  • Supported the Developers Commercial Property Owners Districts pay their fair share of maintenance fees, currently, they pay 1% & 2% District CDD'S 5 to 13 pay up to 10%
  • Inducted into The Property Owners' Association (POA) Hall Of Fame in recognition of service to our Villages community Served on The Property Owners Association (POA) as a board director for 7 years.
  • Instrumental in the installation of Colony Blvd crossing Street Light.
  • Instrumental in receiving $100,000 from the Developer for the Colony Blvd crossing street light lowing the cost to our residents.
  • For the last 12 years always replying back to ALL residents emails and inquiries resulting in hundreds of issues and concerns being resolved.
  • Voted to keep the Cap the Amenity fees for all Villages
  • Had the first Town Hall for District 7 to inform residents about our government, and for the resident to be heard.

Hobbies & Interests

President of the Italian Paisans Club, Dedicated to physical fitness, Cycling (cycled 108,749 miles in 14 years) from 4/1/2010 to 3/31/2024, Lifetime member of The Villages Homeowners Association (VHA), Member of the Property Owners Association (POA) & District 7 Supervisor Chairman & PWAC Representative for 12 years.  Golf and dancing with my wife at Villages Town Squares.
