Candidate: Amanda Green

Amanda Green grew up in Northwest Florida. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree. After college, Amanda moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She attended culinary school at the Art Institute of Atlanta and worked in the hospitality industry. Then she became a teacher of culinary arts. After becoming a mother of two boys, she and her husband, Jonathan Green, longed to raise them in a community with a smaller, hometown feel. Amanda and Jonathan chose Freeport, Florida and moved to Hammock Bay. Today, Amanda\'s husband, Jonathan, own\'s and operate\'s Green Air Controls, a Freeport-based business specializing in Air Conditioning and Plumbing contracting. Amanda serves as the office manager and bookkeeper for the business. Amanda Green is also active in the community with her boys at Freeport Elementary School and with Freeport Little League. With a desire to help preserve Freeport’s heritage, Amanda embraces managed growth that will create commerce and prosperity for the next generation. Amanda hopes to serve the community by bringing a fresh voice to the Freeport City Council.
