Candidate: Jerry "Bubba" Brown, Jr.

I have lived here my entire life, growing up on a working farm, learning the values of hard work and dedication to family and to those around me who are less fortunate than me. Gilchrist County has priceless natural resources and it’s imperative that a commissioner be able to help balance the needs of our farmers, business people and developers, and the increasing number of visitors to our recreation areas. In working with A1 Pest Control for 30 years now, I have traveled to every corner of our county, hearing concerns voiced from the wide range of voters that live here. All of those concerns and opinions deserve to be addressed, respectfully and courteously by commissioners who are willing to be accountable to their constituents and all residents of Gilchrist County. 

When I played football for Trenton High School, me and my classmates could barely contain our pride when we took the field on Friday nights under the lights. I still have that pride in the place we call home and I am willing to be responsible to our citizens and to represent them with courtesy, respect using the lifelong knowledge I have gained here in Gilchrist County, my home and yours.
