Candidate: Lee Hallmark Hansen

Ms. Hansen is a former elementary school teacher and 26-year Navy veteran. She is the daughter of a career Army officer whose Pensacola ancestry goes back to the 1850s. In the Navy, she served in positions of increasing responsibility, as an instructor, strategic planner, and foreign policy advisor, culminating in commanding both a squadron and air wing responsible for aviation training. Upon retiring as a Navy Captain, Ms. Hansen returned to education by founding and serving as Executive Director of The Global Corner. This non-profit international education organization is dedicated to enhancing the education of the students of NW Florida by teaching foreign languages, geography, and cultures. She is married to retired Navy Captain Butch Hansen. They have 5 children and 15 grandchildren. Ms. Hansen understands that better schools make better communities. She also knows that the key to improving Escambia County is improving District 3 outcomes. Armed with a strategic vision, a tireless work ethic, and the skills to make things better, Ms. Hansen is uniquely qualified to continue her role as the District 3 School Board Representative.
