Candidate: Mark Taylor

I\'m Mark Taylor, and I\'m running to be your District 6 representative on the Pensacola City Council. For those of you whom I haven\'t met yet, I\'m a small business owner and sixth-generation Pensacolian. My wife Amber and I live in East Hill with our two children and are active in our community. I\'m a graduate of the Leadership Pensacola program and I currently serve as a member of the Community Maritime Park Associates Board of Trustees. For as long as I can remember, I\'ve had a passion for service. In 2002, I co-founded Pensacola World Changers, a volunteer-led charity that has replaced 105 roofs, built wheel chair ramps, and sponsored over 1,000 children at Christmas. I\'ve volunteered both locally and internationally, bringing disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and hope to over thirty third-world countries. From my upbringing at First Baptist Church and as an Eagle Scout, I\'m committed to living the values of honesty, respect, and integrity. District 6 is home to some of our city\'s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, including our thriving downtown. I\'ll continue to support downtown\'s growth and redevelopment, but I believe that every resident in every neighborhood deserves that same commitment. As your City Councilman, I\'ll be a strong voice for ALL neighborhoods. I love Pensacola, and I\'m looking forward to bringing a fresh vision to our City Council.
