Candidate: Bill Eddins, Jr.

Bill Eddins, Jr. has been a resident of Walton County where he has lived since 1989. He currently lives in District 3 where he has resided continuously since 1992. Bill lives with his wife Jolinda and they have three grown children and seven Grandchildren with one on the way. For the past thirteen years bill has been employed by the same management company where he has worked as a teacher and administrator for several Charter schools in the panhandle area. Bill has twice been recognized by the Department of Education for raising student achievement. Both times Bill has been recognized occurred in Walton County at Walton Academy Charter School in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 school years. Prior to his educational career Bill was a successful small business owner in Walton County where he owned and operated Southern Exposure Insulation. Bill has the leadership and management skills necessary to be a strong school board member for Walton County. He has proven to be fiscally conservative with our tax dollars. Candidate’s statement: I am running for the Walton County School Board District 3 because I believe I have the skills necessary to be a strong Board Member, and will keep our government transparent. I will make the best possible decisions to support the student’s needs. I will consistently listen to the parents, teachers, and taxpayers of Walton county and work to have a strong school district and community. I have an ability to work well with others, and have shown to be fiscally conservative with tax dollars at the local schools that I have worked with. I will strive to raise student achievement while not sacrificing the extracurricular activities that help build a well rounded student. I have the experience necessary to work with a budget, at the school level and in small business, to provide the best possible resources that we can have for the students of Walton County.
